Country singer Charlie Worsham will play the Basement East every Monday night in July to raise money for music education.
Proceeds from the five-night "Every Damn Monday" series are going to his Follow Your Heart Arts Program, which benefits kids in his hometown — Grenada, Miss. — who "possess uncommon talent and desire to achieve great things in the arts."
Tickets are $5 and go on sale Monday at thebasementnashville.com.
Worsham released his latest album, the quirky and cerebral "Beginning of Things," in April, and recently played two sold-out shows at Nashville's City Winery with singer-songwriter Brandy Clark. Later this month, he is opening shows for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
